Terms of Service

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your account details up to date, keep your password private and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity on your account unless the law says otherwise.

PortGate Nexus provides digital tools and coordination services for trade compliance, classification, duty estimation, financing enquiries, payments, logistics, insurance, storage, support and related workflows. Some features described on the website may be marked “coming soon” and are not yet available. Availability and scope may vary by transaction, partner, location, plan and regulatory requirement.

PortGate Nexus is not a government agency, bank, lender, insurer or licensed customs agent, and is not endorsed by any regulator. Where a service is provided by a partner, such as a lender, insurer or warehouse, that partner makes its own decisions and its own terms apply.

You confirm that information and documents you provide are accurate, lawful and submitted with all necessary rights and permissions. You remain responsible for checking declarations and approvals before relying on them or submitting them to a regulator, bank, insurer, carrier or other third party.

HS classifications, duty calculations, exchange rates, timelines, risk scores, AI responses and compliance guidance are estimates or advice based on the information available. They are not legal advice or binding government decisions, and they can be wrong. Final outcomes depend on customs and other authorities and may change after review, inspection, valuation, exchange-rate movements or regulatory action.

Fees, taxes and payment terms are shown before you pay or set out in a written quotation. Payments are processed by Payaza under its own terms. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

The platform may connect you with payment providers, lenders, insurers, warehouses, carriers, customs agents, data providers and other independent businesses. Their approvals, pricing, performance, availability and terms are outside our control unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

You must not use the platform unlawfully; upload malicious code; interfere with security; scrape or reverse-engineer protected services; impersonate anyone; infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; submit fraudulent information; or use the service for prohibited trade or financial activity.

PortGate Nexus and its licensors own the platform, software, design, databases, documentation and branding. You keep ownership of content you submit and give us a limited licence to host, process, copy and share it as needed to provide, secure and support the services you request. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners.

We work to keep the platform secure and available but cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue features and set reasonable limits to protect users, our systems or legal compliance.

To the extent the law allows, PortGate Nexus is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, decisions made by regulators or partners, acts of third parties, delays outside our reasonable control, or losses caused by inaccurate information you provided. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, legal compliance, breach of these Terms, or to protect users and third parties. Terms that by their nature should continue after termination will do so.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Before starting formal proceedings, both sides should try in good faith to settle a dispute through written notice and discussion. Unresolved disputes will be decided by a court with jurisdiction in Nigeria.
